Photos for Identification - Can You Identify These People?
Got Mennonite family photos that you can't identify? Maybe you know the decade or place that they were taken, but there's one mysterious person who you just can't identify. Why not send us a scan (queries at mennonitehistory.org). We'll place it here and advise the MHSA e-list that it's here.
You'll immediately have a whole host of like-minded persons who just might be able to help out with a critical detail that starts you on the path of fact.
2012.001 Submitter: Nancy Wager (wagernb at telus.net) Persons: Photo belonging to my great grandmother. The lady in photo could possibly be the same lady in 2011.003. Man is Grandma Schultz's cousin

I believe the man seated, second from the left is my great great grandfather Peter Lepp born 1826, he died in 1912. I would be interested in finding out who the other men are. I do not know where Peter Lepp b.1826 was born, but my great grandfather Peter Lepp b.1853 was born in Osterwick, Chortitza, South Russia. Therefore I'm assuming this photo was taken in the area.
I am always looking for any Lepp information. I found this photo among my grandparents photos, nothing was written on the back.
