  • Blank cells of enumeration forms should be shown as blank cells in the spreadsheet
  • Transcribe what you see, not what you think should be there. If you think there's an error and you know the real information, that can be conveyed in a transcriber's footnote. Keep those as a list at the bottom of the spreadsheet.
  • Spreadsheets will be placed online in such a way that they are fully accessible (without charge) to researchers and searchable.
