material
Administrative History
The congregation began services in 1976, and formally organized in 1978.
The first building was occupied in 1978, with a subsequent building
program in 1997. Art Regier is considered the founding leader of the
group. Steering Committee members at the time included: Mel Epp, Doris
Behhr, Henry Lepp, Anne Martens and Walter Falk. The congregation originated
through outreach by Coaldale Mennonite Church.
As the number of Coaldale Mennonite members from Lethbridge increased
and as more Mennonites moved into Lethbridge, the need was felt for
an independent congregation there.
The congregation has been affiliated with Mennonite Church Alberta
(1978-), and Mennonite Church Canada [formerly Conference of Mennonites
in Canada (1978-)]. The language of worship is English.
