Administrative/Biographical History
Elfrieda was born in Tofield, Alberta to John J. and Maria (Heidebrecht) Rempel. She married Henry Marvin Dick (1931-) in 1957 and together they had three children: Susan Rae, Deanna Marie, and Allyson. She was a teacher who spent part of her career with Mennonite Central Committee in Africa. David A. Heidebrecht, elected Aeltester (Elder) of the just-formed Schoenseer Mennoniten Gemeinde zu Tofield in 1942 and ordained in 1943, was her materal grandfather who may be the primary source of her photographic collection.

The records were donated to the MHSA in 2003.
